Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a popular English language test for non-native English speakers who are willing to study or to immigrate to an English-speaking country.
PTE Academic is a computer-based English language test aimed at non-native English speakers who want to study abroad. This test is conducted by Pearson Education and students can appear for PTE academic any number of times to prove their English language proficiency.
You can register for a PTE test by creating your account on the official website of the PTE exam by logging into https://in.pearson.com and by choosing PTE Academic. The account activation happens within 48 hours. You can then browse through the list of exam centres and choose one most convenient to you. You can then select your preferred exam date and time and book your seat.
Test-takers are allowed to book their test as late as 24 hours before the test date, provided a seat is available at the preferred test centre, though we recommend students to book a date well in advance.
You can use using credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or JCB) or debit card (Visa or MasterCard only) to pay for your PTE test fee.
You can appear for your PTE test from your preferred/most convenient test center, a list of which can be found while booking your test slot on https://in.pearson.com.
In case of your inability to appear for the test, you will need to fill in the ‘Request Emergency Reschedule Form’ within 14 calendar days of the scheduled test date. You will also be asked to attach evidence of the reason for rescheduling the test.
